Precision training, engineered like infrastructure.

gym2x turns real race routes into treadmill incline programs, auto-logs training from Strava, and reads tennis technique from video — a consumer product run with the same discipline as our client platforms.

The engagement

Challenge, approach, outcome.

Challenge

Training data lives in silos — the watch, Strava, race GPX files, video. Turning it into decisions (how hard to train this week, what pace to race) is guesswork.

Approach

Build the pipelines: GPX routes converted km-by-km into treadmill incline programs with a live simulator; real-time Strava webhooks plus scheduled sync from Samsung Health; a MediaPipe computer-vision pipeline for tennis technique.

Outcome

A live consumer product on scale-to-zero Google Cloud Run with push-to-deploy CI via Atlas — the same product-engineering and GCP capability behind our client migrations.

What we built

Under the hood.

🏔️

GPX → treadmill

Real race routes become km-by-km incline programs, with a live simulator.

🔄

Strava auto-logging

Real-time webhooks, plus scheduled sync from Samsung Health / Galaxy Watch.

📈

Fitness intelligence

Training load (sRPE/ACWR injury risk), Daniels VDOT, race predictions, aerobic efficiency trends.

🎾

Tennis video analysis

MediaPipe pose tracking — swing counts, wrist speed, footwork metrics on annotated video.

☁️

Cloud engineering

Flask + Dash on Cloud Run (scale-to-zero); static site on Cloudflare Pages.

🚀

Push-to-deploy

CI through Atlas, Mindsgate's own deploy platform.
